My Testimony, Ex-Stud, Ex-Homosexual

The summer of 2013 is when everything changed for me. I heard a voice tell me to look at a tree while I was washing dishes. I knew it wasn't anyone of my family because no one was around. The voice began to tell me that trees have been here since the beginning of time but we all know that a seed has to be planted for a tree to grow. If you ask a little kid how long a tree has been there, they would say forever when we know that isn't true. Homosexuality is the same way, a seed is planted in the child whether it's a generational curse, rape, molestation, teasing, abuse, fatherless home, etc. My "seed" was teasing. I knew I was never born gay, I just knew the feelings came sometime during elementary school. I got teased all the time at school for being small and not wearing nice clothes. It seemed like the only people who showed love were the women in my church. Because of that I began to have feelings for them and then started to have feelings for my friends and classmates. I started dressing like a guy my eighth grade year and got my first girl friend my tenth grade year. That's when I began to explore everything and embraced the lifestyle.

Back to my initial story, the voice began to tell me that no one is born gay but if the seed is planted at an early age the child won't remember and they will believe they were born that way. After hearing all that I began to have a vision of myself saying the exact same stuff except it was at church and lo and behold it came true a few months later. During that summer I finally gave my life to Christ because I had hit rock bottom. I was drinking, smoking, partying, clubbing, and could never stay in a relationship. I was getting falsely accused of rape and would have gotten a statutory rape charge but the case got dropped. November of 2013 is when I was delivered waking up one day and hearing, "You are delivered." Ever since then I have been on an amazing journey that has landed me currently engaged to an amazing man. This does not mean that marriage is the be all and end all but I realized God has a plan and a purpose for everyone who has left that lifestyle. For some they will remain single and do His work while for others He will give you the desire for a man or women to fulfill His purpose in your life.

I'm so thankful that God spoke to me that summer because my life has changed ever since then. Now I am married to a wonderful man of God and recently gave birth to a baby girl.
